When he first began listening to CDs, Jared Jones didn't imagine that his
passion for music would change and evolve into a career in the fast-paced
and ever-changing music industry. Jones' unique style of remixing, which
took root even before he was a teenager, is already establishing him as a
promising new artist. Jones finds much of his inspiration in the energetic
dance grooves of such artists as RuPaul, Amber, Bjork, Crystal Waters,
Taylor Dayne, Dee-Lite, 2 Unlimited, and Real McCoy.
The works of talented and respected artists like Michael Jackson convinced Jones
that his calling in life was to do more than listen to music: he was
compelled to create. At first he did what any aspiring remixer would do
with limited resources. He used simple techniques to splice together songs
and sound effects on just two tape decks. Eventually home computer
technology progressed and allowed Jones to use his own computer to create
extended mixes of songs. He realized that he could take acapella versions
of his favorite songs and produce his own remixes, including remixes of
such artists as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mary J Blige, Beyonce
Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Brandy, Jade Starling, Vicki Shepard and Taylor Dayne.
The remix of Taylor Dayne's chart-topping single "How Many" was Jones'
first commercial release, under Emerge/Centaur Entertainment in October
2002. Jones hopes listeners all around the globe will soon recognize the sensational works of Vibelicious when
they dance in clubs or listen to the radio.
